Hi Stefan,
I agree, with space for only 1 internal hard drive it limits it's appeal.

I would buy one, too, if it had the 2 disc option.

Agreed - it badly needs a 2 disk option, even if not offered as standard so that they still have a 'competitively priced' version.

I agree with this - it's such a shame that there isn't a multiple drive option. I won't be ordering this but would definitely have been straight in there with an order if it had two or more drives built in to provide resilience. I've had one too many hard disks fail on me over the years to want to risk anything like this. Such a pity.

Hi Vermaak,
I agree with your points there, thats why I decided to build my own Windows Home Server. At least that way I know I can have upto 6 drives in it (3 at present).

I understand that and a big plus is the low power need. But when you want to connect more drives you need to do that trough a USB connection and the USB external hard drive needs its own power supplies nullifying so the minimum power needs of this server...... When this comes with 2 500 GB hard drives it would really be a intresting option esspecially because the low power and sound production of this design.

Hi Vermaak,
I agree that to get the most form WHS you do need 2 hard drives (Folder Duplication etc) but to be competitive with the likes of HP only 1 drive is icluded. Naturally more can be added.

I think this is a handicapped server becaus one of the most powerful tools is duplicating your most valuable data on different disks. Because this server has only one main disk (you can connect others trough USB, I know) it is by default not getting everything out of the OS. I think a WHS must have at least the possibility to have two disks inside itself.
