The Home Server Show Podcast

The Home Server Show #29 podcast comes from CES in Las Vegas. Chatting this week is Windows Home Server Product Manager Todd Headrick who tells us that the team is working on a minor and major release of WHS at the same time.

Todd tells us that the minor release will extend the functionality of the current product and is currently in beta and once released will be available via the Microsoft Download Center.

Meanwhile work continues on the major release (codenamed Vail) and early iterations of the product have been up and running for 6 months now. Vail is based on the Windows 7 platform and will be probably be available in 2010.
