Home Server Banner Mystery
Colin Walker from the tech blog Randomelements has posted details of the mysterious “Home Server Banner” link that appears in the Internet Explorer view toolbars menu.

UPDATE: After reading through Colin’s site I noticed on one of his posts that it displayed a weather gadget that displayed the temperature for Gravesend, GBR. Wow! a fellow Windows Home Server geek, just like me from the same town here in Kent in the UK. As Colin states it really is a small world.

The banner isn’t much a mystery as far as I know.
When you mount a back-up as an image from the WHS console the banner opens and displays the date of the back-up as well as the name of the computer it was taken from.
However, I’m not sure that has always been the case. In certain builds of the beta that feature may not have been present.
