PerfectDisk 2008 Integration with WHS Console
Good news for PerfectDisk 2008 users. The new Windows Home Server version now integrates fully with the WHS console. The new version is available for free to existing users and pricing has been maintained for new users bringing features like Space Restoration Technology with total free space consolidation, SMARTPlacement optimization, and complete NTFS metadata defragmentation to Windows Home Server users.
Existing users should uninstall their existing version of PerfectDisk 2008 for Windows Home Server and install the new version from here using the installation instructions found here.

Very cool! Do you know of any promotional codes that are good for PerfectDisk?
Has anyone tried the instructions? I downloaded the new file, following the installation instructions and although everything installed fine, there was no new console in WHS…. strange.
Obviously, Microsoft’s own defrag application lacks, is limited and offers less here than another third party solution.
If only Microsoft was to use ALL open source code, then everyone could improve upon it (code), publicly review it, insure it was safer, and support it for everyone.
