I would love to have a copy of PerfectDisk to keep my home server running in top form at all times. I also have 5 computers for the family that always require maintenance and if I had PerfectDisk running on them it would be one less thing for me to have to take care of.

  2. Heaphus says:

Simply to keep my data in tip-top shape.

  3. Gary says:

Lights out is a nice add on. If I could add PerfectDisk, I guess things would be perfect.

  4. Craig says:

I have several TB worth of data that I would like to keep defragmented and a gaming PC that would have better response if it was in the PerfectDisk pool of PC’s to be kept in shape.

  5. Andrew Tranchina says:

My whs machine currently has 8TB of data that hasn’t been fragmented since it was built I downloaded the trial last week (Wednesday) and its still about 60% done. I already feel better about my drives. My server would routinely get unresponsive for a few seconds while transference files and I’m convinced its because the drives are overworked. I cant remember when I didn’t see the HDD led on the front not just be solid.

  6. Jimmy Walker says:

PerfectDisk is Perfect! I use it for one of my desktop PC’s and hope to soon get the WHS and site license set. Works flawlessly and does not bog the system resources down! Some facts about PerfectDisk:

*Single-pass defragmentation of files and consolidation of free space
*Defragments drives with less than 1% free space
    *Faster subsequent defrag runs

    Plus many many more!!!!!

  7. Diehard says:

I like to option where you can launch a defrag session on any PC from the WHS addin if you have PerfectDisk installed on those PC’s. This requires a volume license that this product supports.

  8. Amanda says:

    Seamless integration with WHS Console
    Reduce Backup times
    Completely eliminate WHS fragmentation
    Maximize Streaming Media performance

My husband swears by this product!!

  9. Regelos says:

I have alot of data and have been noticing some fragmentation lately if I had the money I would have already bought Perfect Disk

  10. tivoboy says:

Well, i have a 3TB WHS, and since one of my backup NAS just failed, I need to make sure that my work and life data backups are secure and running best they can. Also, it looks like the WHS is going to be the ONLY backup solution i’ll have for a little while.

  11. Rick M says:

PerfectDisk 10 would be the perfect addition to my Windows Home Server. I would like to have it residing on my home server so that I can do defrags to the multiple drives in my system when I want the defrag to take place, when it’s most convenient for me. I believe that defrag is very important to keep your system running quick and smooth, and PerfectDisk 10 certainly fits that bill. It will certainly help out with insuring that my drives last longer and my data is more secure.

  12. John Bargo says:

    It just works!

  13. rick says:

i’d like a copy because i have over two terrabytes of data and while using the evaluation version of PD10 i’ve seen a noticable improvement in streaming performance of both music and video.

  14. Blaine D. says:

I like to edit our home videos and then store them on the server. Having these large files defragmented would ensure that they play smoothly.

Plus I just like the idea of files be organized and defragmented without having to think about it. It’s the same reason I got a WHS in the first place, I don’t want to have to think about backups and centralized storage. I just want it to work.

  15. Jorge says:

I like my copy to reside it on my WHS because I need to maintain optimally my 3.5TB in order to get the best from my server

  16. Huy Do says:

I have about 5 TB of data including movies, musics, photos, and all documents. Movies is a main thing that my family enjoy, we use WHS to stream movies to one popcorn hour, and one WDTV (hacked to have network access). Most of my movies are HD quality, having PerfectDisk will help the streaming.

  17. Gilson says:

My WHS is still relatively small, so it won’t be unusual to reclaim space by deleting some files in the near future. PerfectDisk would be nice to keep the remaining files from fragmenting. And the 3 other computers in the house would benefit as well.

  18. welchwerks says:

With a family of all girls. 9 computers running Windows 7 they are always on and off our server i must defrag almost every other day which takes alot of time , this automated defragmentation would give me more time to spend with them

  19. SciFiJunkie says:

With an expecting wife anything that will help keep her calm is a good idea. Allowing the WHS to access data faster is one piece of that happy pie.

  20. Holt says:

Perfect Disk would help my machine since I am always moving WMC recorded TV to my WHS. They are large files and adding and deleting has to take its toll on fragmentation. Since PowerPack 3 will move these automatically and archive them, I can see needed this kind of defrage program even more. When you stream to Xbox 360 as a media center extender, recorded TV has to come from the server to the PC and then extened on to the Xbox 360. Any latency just adds to streaming problems with this setup, even on a gig LAN. It will be nice when WHS can be the server for TV and extenders and computers can connect to it for all your needs. A defrag like Perfect Disk will be most needed then.

  21. Jordan says:

It will give me more time to spend with my one year old child… rather than login to each and every one of my computers at home for defrag. (mmm… I have 4)

  22. Graeme Martin says:

I guess the name says it all “Perfect Disk”
