Hi thanks for the post. I’m new to WHS – how do I know this installed. I downloaded it and ran it on my laptop, is that the correct pocedure?
thanks,
matt
Matt, you need to download it to your WHS in the Software\Add-ins share. Then install it via the WHS Console.
Is there any way to update without uninstalling the previous version? I couldn’t find anything in the forums or guide
I’m having problems after installing this update on an HP Mediasmart 490.
On serverhost:9000/config I have an error:
Your trial version has expired.
There is a place to enter a registration key; whoops, I don’t have a reg key!
Any ideas?
If not, let this serve as a warning, don’t install this software on an HP Mediasmart server.
I do think Twonky should have some sanity checks before updating an existing, working system to the point of creating a non-working system, but that’s not your fault.
Please update this article w/a BIG WARNING!
Do NOT install this update on an HP mediasmart server. The version installed on the HP server is not compatible with this upgrade!!
