WHS Senior Product Manager Shows his Tech
The Channel 10 network has a great video of Microsoft’s Senior Product Manager of Windows Home Server Mark Pendergrast. The video “Show Us Your Tech – Mark Pendergrast Edition” takes a tour of Mark’s 1920’s house and the tech which he has within it.
Starting at the kitchen with the 40" LCD and the ROKU soundbridge radio, we are also shown the D-Link IP camera which is connected to the Windows Home Server in the back room area.
An expanded office in the basement is home for a Shuttle desktop pc and an Apple Time Capsule to backup the Mac machine.
Whilst in the media room is a 60" Pioneer Plasma which is connected to a Xbox 360 for media center viewing.
The back room is where all the wiring takes place which connects all the equipment together and off course the home for Windows Home Server, which in Mark’s case is the HP MediaSmart Server along with a couple of Netgear switches and a Silicondust HDHomeRun dual network based tuner.
If you watch the video till the end you will find out that Mark now has a safe which was found under the old stairs which was opened by a unknown contractor whilst they were out and which is now empty – Thank goodness they left the Home Server!

Hey – there was a Mac !!!
…nice to see…but why there is no Time-Machine-Backup-Frontend for the WHS ???
This would be a very nice feature 😉
