Add-In: Magic WOL for Windows Home Server 1.00.96
Maplegrove Partners the company behind the add-in "MSEN" Microsoft Security Essentials Notifier for Windows Home Server have just released a new add-in Magic WOL for Windows Home Server.
For WHS V1, Magic WOL for Windows Home Server is a clientless Wake On Lan (WOL) solution utilizing AJAX technology for website interaction:
Here’s what the developers have to say:
Magic WOL is the easiest solution for waking up computers for RDP. Not only is it accessible from the WHS console and the remote website, but it easily allows you to manage devices in your network that are not connected to WHS.
Features:
- Clientless integration, only need server installation.
- IP Helpers and ARP finders that keep your PCs info accurate when WHS doesn’t.
- Edit, Delete, and Add new computers to the add-in.
- Automatic Updates for all future releases.
Magic WOL for Windows Home Server costs $7 and a 30 day trial is also available from here.

Looks good! But for a paid add-in I expect a little more. I can already do this with other add-ins for free. I hope they add more features in the future to make it worth the purchase price. I love supporting the WHS developing community when I have a good reason.
I’m using AutoExit already for a very long time. Essentially does the same, except that it needs a PC client and is for free.
