A Beginners Guide to Windows Live Mesh
Since Windows Live Mesh runs as a service on Windows Home Server 2011 its a piece of software which we have setup on our Homer Server’s and use a lot. So if you would like to know what Live Mesh can do for you then techradar.com has a beginners guide which explains how to sync your files across multiple PCs and locations using this great piece of software.
A great read which you can find here.

I’m not sure about the comments “because it runs as a service…” what has this got to do with why you run it on a server. If you log out, Live Mesh quits…so its useless and might as well be a normal program ! If it stayed running then yes it would be useful as a service.
Is there a specific live Mesh version for WHS 2011 or do I just download the version that seems generic from the website availablefrom the link above,
GW
Hi Ed,
With WLM running as a service if you log out then it WILL continue to run, as the service will cvontinue in the background.
Hi George,
Yes its the generic version which you will need to download.
