Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials Presentation in Louisville
The Kentucky SBS User Group (KYSBSUG) has an open invite for a talk on Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials.
There has been a lot of talk about Windows Storage Server Essentials 2008 R2 (formerly code named "Breckenridge"). http://blogs.technet.com/b/storageserver/archive/2010/11/08/announcing-windows-storage-server-2008-r2-essentials.aspx
Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much in the way of hardware from vendors. Good news though – this month Kevin Royalty [SBS-MVP] is coming to Louisville to show both the software AND the hardware available for WSSE.
Taking place on Thursday October 13th 2011 (6:30-9:00 PM Eastern), speaker in Royalty [SBS-MVP] is going to Louisville to show the software AND hardware available for Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials.
Seating is limited (and they may be doing food – not sure yet) so please register today!

When is someone going to publish a handbook on WSSE 2008 R2? There are now an assortment of publications out there on both WHS 2011 and SBSE 2011, but nothing (at least that I can find) on the nuts and bolts of running WSSE 2008 R2.
Any help that someone can offer would be appreciated. Best regards. TheBeagle
Truly disappointing that there are not enough makers of an appliance with the software. 25 computer backup capability? This is what a lot of SMBs need. So sad that Microsoft won’t allow the software to be generally available as OEM software too.
