Orbital Backup Configuration and Mac OS X Lion
The add-in Orbital Backup Configuration which allows connected Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) computers to use your WHS for Time Machine backups will only work with Snow Leopard and not Mac OS X Lion.
Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) support is unavailable due to a software conflict between the Microsoft Launchpad and Lion Launchpad, and any workarounds would adversely modify the default Lion user experience.
Here is what the developer Orbital Technologies Inc. had to say:
The Connect a Computer program will normally fail when it tries to check the prerequisites of your Macintosh if it is running OS X Lion. This is because Lion has a Launchpad application whose name conflicts with the Microsoft Launchpad used to access the server.
The only known workaround is to first connect a Macintosh running OS X Snow Leopard, then upgrade it to Lion. This will cause Lion to not install its Launchpad, letting the Microsoft Launchpad continue functioning. However, the OS X Lion Launchpad will not be available.

For a company that writes in their About Us page, “We provide solutions to extremely complex software problems that others cannot solve.” They can’t make this connector work with Lion, geeze.
John, I’m with you, no way I’d recommend or use their services if they can’t work this one out in a timely manner !
