The WD Sentinel RX4100 Running Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials
WD have launched the Sentinel RX4100 a 1U rack mountable storage server running Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials.
With four hotswappable hard drives pre-configured in RAID 5, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports for network fail-over and an optional dual power supply, the WD Sentinel RX4100 also offers built-in iSCSI target functionality to easily manage the setup and deployment of iSCSI Storage. Powered by StarWind®, advanced users can partition their WD Sentinel for either NAS File-based storage or blockstorage. This capability allows users to create multiple iSCSI targets to meet the needs of dynamic IT environments.
The RX4100 is Available in 3 configurations:
- 8 TB (4 x 2 TB) WDBLVH0080KBK $1,899.99
- 12 TB (4 x 3 TB) WDBLVH0120KBK $2,009.99
- 16 TB (4 x 4 TB) WDBLGT0160KBK $2,359.99
The unit also has 2 x USB 3.0 ports and 1 x USB 2.0 port and is powered by the Intel Atom Dual Core 1.80 Ghz
