Update Rollup 3 for Essentials 2012 Released
Update Rollup 3 for Server Essentials 2012 has been released.
UR 3 includes new solutions to skip DNS auto-detect and configuration on the client, contains new Best Practice Analyzer (BPA) rules and introduces a new Branding name for the Windows Azure Backup integration add-in.
The following 12 issues are resolved with this release:
- Windows Server Essentials Group Policies do not work in Windows 8.1.
- Client Backup stops at the "In progress" status when the destination disk is full.
- When you run Microsoft Office 365 Windows PowerShell cmdlets by using non-administrator permission, Windows Server Office 365 Integration Service crashes.
- When you delete users who have a Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 mailbox assigned, the Windows Server On-Premises Exchange Integration Service crashes.
- Assume that an Office 365 user tries to change their password. If the password cannot synchronize to the Office 365 servers, the user cannot change their password.
- Assume there is a situation in which the password synchronize service is stopped. When password synchronization is attempted, the synchronization failure is not reported.
- Windows Server Password Synchronization Service crashes when the service evaluates password synchronization alerts.
- After update 2804583 is installed, mailbox management of web APIs does not work.
- When Windows Server 2012 Essentials is installed on a remotely administered server, an incorrect time zone is used.
- The Remote Web Access (RWA) File Sharing folder and media page do not work correctly.
- User State Micgration Tool is not updated for the Windows 8.1 client.
- When the name of a certificate does not match the fully qualified domain name (FQDN), ARRConfig does not provide a clear error message.
