Add-In: AutoExit Beta 3
Our friend Nick has been in contact to tell us that there is a new release of the add-in AutoExit.
AutoExit can be used to:
- Shut down and reboot computer(s) within your home network from within the console.
- Wake On Lan feature, so you can easily boot up your computer(s) remotely
- Place the computer(s) into hibernation or sleep mode
- Log off the user or lock the computer(s)
- Shut down the server from the toolbar
Please note that the description says Beta2 but it is Beta-3, new version 2.0.1.1155
This version contains a whole set of new features:
– Fixed problem with installer, a file (interop.whsinfoif.dll) was deleted that was shared with another add-in.
– The MAC address was not always retrieved correctly (00-00-00-00-00-00) and an error appeared ‘Object
Reference Not Set to an instance’.
– It is now possible to set the Mac address manually for a client. When set to empty, the MAC address is deleted.
– The state of the machine didn’t always match with reality because the list wasn’t refreshed yet.
This enabled the user to still use the right click menu.
Now the actual state is checked before the action is performed.
– More understandable error messages are now shown, when errors occur.
– A client application is now available for the client machine. This client allows more shutdown options and less
configuration work compared to the previous version. It also allows the support of the basic Windows editions
that were not supported in the previous version.
– New Action: Sleep
– New Action: Hibernate
– New Action: Log off
– New Action: Lock Workstation.
– Shutting down the server is also supported now.
– Check for updates of AutoExit.
– Refreshing doesn’t interfere with selection anymore, when the popup menu is open.
– Fixed some small issues.
