Internet Superstore Buy.com (USA) have the HP MediaSmart Server EX47 at an unbelievable price of $399.95, and shipping is free too. This is an excellent price for the 500GB Windows Home Server as Amazon are at least $50 more expensive and Newegg would charge you an additional $160 on top too.

Was this a misprint or a one-day offer? Today it’s back up to $560.
I just checked that web link, and the price is $578.79 (USD) for that unit. Either someone gave you a false lead, or this is a classic bait-n-switch!
The sale was for only 1 day on Novemeber 13th.
They had them listed (80 of them) on ebay for 2 days. I stumbled across it (having passed on the EX470 to buy a N4100PRO because of price) and bought 1 for $399.95. They pulled the listing the next day. I think someone screwed up – that’s too large of a price difference to have been done on purpose. In any case, the unit is on the way and will be in my hands Monday. My Thecus is going back in the box and up on ebay next week. 🙂
