Hey “Perfect Disk”,
Don’t take no risk.
Install this ware,
Don’t have no care.
I’m upgrading to Win7 to get the latest version of Windows Media Center on my 3 HTPCs.
I plan to start upgrading computers the 23rd of October and should have all of them done within a week or so. I want the stability of Windows 7 and I really like the media capabilities of the new OS.
I’ll upgrade to windows 7 on Oct 22. I’m looking forward to using MCE.
I’m already using Win 7 on a couple of PC’s one a final copy on RC1 and I’ve got pre-orders in for the rest of our PC’s so those will be up shortly after 10/22. Main draw for me is the better performance over Vista and Media Center, Media Center, Media Center. For those not using WMC you should take a look at it especially now with Windows 7.
I have already set-up 1 PC with Windows 7 (can’t knock Technet) and am so impressed that I have three more to do. The new MCE is very impressive. I also want to play with the new touchscreen capabilities.
I’ve upgraded both my desktop and netbook as soon as RTM became available in MSDN and Technet.
Already have my Windows 7 copy from my Windows 7 Party Pack. I’ll be installing it today, and already have it on a work laptop (love being a volume customer!)
Looking forward to the Media Center stuff, and already love the sharing of documents/media to other machines.
Maybe my favorite feature right now is the “Play on …” which lets me play a particular file/song on my network media streamers. Very cool!
I have 3 PCs on the network that currently have Vista… they will be upgraded to Win7 first, and as soon as possible.
Like most people, I’ll be upgrading ASAP, as soon as my copies arrive, hopefully not much later than Oct 22. I’ll be using Win7 Media Center on my HTPC with hopefully an official netflix plugin.

I have preordered my Windows 7 copies to update my computers. I plan to emable virtual machines ON ALL OF THEM
I’ve already preordered two copies of Windows 7 and plan on installing them as soon as possible. I can’t wait to run the new Media Center on my HTPC!
I plan on upgrading to windows 7 the day I can afford it >got laid off and dont have the money :(<
I’ll be upgrading everything as soon as my copies arrive. Looking forward to fully utilizing the new taskbar, mce improvements, play on, remote streaming, and touch capabilities – among others.
i have a copy of win7 now (hosting a windows release home party) and am going to put it on my laptop to take advantage of some new power consumption features and my 64 bit architecture (currently running 32 bit vista).
PerfectDisk’s engine now runs up to 30% faster, saving me time and resources.
With a family of all girls. 9 computers running Windows 7 they are always on and off our server i must defrag almost every other day which takes alot of time , this automated defragmentation would give me more time to spend with them
I had my laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate RTM, when the license expire I will buy the real license. Another XP MCE I will upgrade to Windows 7 when it come out and since XP can not be upgrade directly I have to copy all my media to my WHS before I wipe it out. If I can install Windows 7 on a USB flash drive to boot, I will do it since all the recordings in the future will be on WHS.
I’ve already upgraded to the RTM version (Thanks MSDN) and using it for my office and media center pc.
I’m upgrading as soon as I get a copy into my hot little hands. I have 4 copies on order and some SSD’s on order to install it on.
I’ve already pre-ordered two copies: one for my desktop PC and one for my wife’s laptop. I’m looking forward to seeing the Media Center improvements and am hoping for some performance improvements on the low-end laptop.
Ran Windows 7 RC for a while. Waiting on a pre-order to show up. Like that Microsoft is actually paying attention and making Windows 7 and WHS integrate better.
I’ll be upgrading my Vista laptop to Windows7 ASAP, but I haven’t preorded anything yet. Perhaps my older P4 machine too. I really just need to wipe it out and reclassify it for the kids. But I’ll probably wait a little while before making the plunge on that machine.
I plan to move as soon as I can get stuff moved to WHS and my wife stops using the computer for email. I need to repartition and will save my current setup as a backup on WHS. I hope to use the steaming in Windows 7 media center to listen to stuff at work. Plus, I will use the new Media Center setup with the WHS Power Pack 3 (when it comes out of beta) to stream shows from WHS. Can’t wait to test the archive. Wining Perfeckt Disk will keep me up-to-speed with all my WHS drives.
I just tried Perfect Disc (demo) yesterday and what an improvement ! 😉 It would be very nice to have this software taking care of my home servers health on a daily basis !
Perfect Disc: I plan to upgrade to win 7 at the release date, and have preordered 3 copies 2 month ago. My plan is to put all my DVD movies on my home server and stream it to my televisions
