Want to build your own Home Server? Buy the oem software but get an old server, not an old desktop, through Ebay since a server is built to be such. I recommend the PowerEdge 500SC since it is an IDE based system. Then add to that base system with 4 x 512mb pc133 ecc memory modules, a pci-x gigbit ethernet card and a dvdrom. Upgrade the bios to A07. Phillip has a photgraph of one of my recent builds which utilized a scsi card and a PowerVault 14-bay scsi device.
