CloudBerry Backup – A Users Review

A CloudBerry Backup user by the name of Alex Harden gives his opinion of the online backup solution for Windows Home Server users:

CloudBerry Backup for Aurora

Cloudberry transferred the folder structure and files without putting them in containers. I was able to navigate the folders and see the pictures from the S3 web console. Very cool.

As I finish this entry, Cloudberry is plugging away at the initial backup and all indications are that it will work even better than my old solution! Recommended.

Add-in Central Discontinued

The WHS v1 add-in “Add-in Central” is no longer.

addincentralgui

In a blog post, the add-ins creators at HomeServerLand stated that from time to time it is necessary to discontinue products and services for a number of reasons and that the add-in would be discontinued as of July 15, 2011. Existing users are being asked to uninstall it if they still have the add-in installed.

Although they haven’t commented if Add-in Central would be updated for WHS 2011, they did state that now v1 has been replaced by version 2 of WHS that they will be focusing on the future of that platform instead.

Add-in Central helped discover, track and update useful add-ins right from within the Windows Home Server Console and will be sadly missed.
