Add-In: Drive Bender 1.1.4.0

Drive Bender Logo

Version 1.1.4.0 of Drive Bender has just been released to fix an issue which was introduced with 1.1.3.9.

  • Bug fix: Named streams support was inadvertently enabled in the last build (feature was not ready). This could cause duplicate names to appear in the pool file system. This feature has been disabled.
  • Under heavy loads, a request for a file handle could sometimes fail.

If you have version 1.1.3.9 installed then it is recommended that you update immediately.

As always this release can be downloaded from here.

Add-In: Drive Bender 1.1.3.9

Quick on the heals of version 1.1.3.8, version 1.1.3.9 of Drive Bender has been released.

Add-In: Lights-Out for WHS 2011 Version 1.5.0 Build 1545

The popular add-in Lights-Out is now available for Windows Home Server 2011.

Lights-Out is used to put a Windows Home Server 2011 into suspended mode or hibernation and resume on user defined events.

Lights Out for WHS 2011 1.5.0 Build 1545

Version 1.5.0 Build 1545 of Lights-Out for Windows Home Server 2011 is the first official release for:

  • Windows Home Server 2011
  • Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials
  • Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials

Known issues:

  • Resizing the Dashboard to the smallest possible window size creates a distorted Status sub-tab. Workaround: resize the Dashboard
  • You can’t load a Windows Home Server v1 Lights-Out license into this version. Lights-Out for WHS 2011 requires a new license file.
  • Client GUI application is not started automatically after first client push installation. Workaround: Run via Start->All Programs->Startup, Lights-Out Client or log off and log in again.
  • Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials wakes up every 30 minutes by Server Infrastructure License Service (silsvc). This bug is logged in Microsoft Connect under ID 642301 and 669083. See Server Infrastructure License Service (silsvc) wakes server every 30 minutes and vote for this bug!

Add-In: StableBit DrivePool Build 1679

Build 1679 of StableBit DrivePool has just been made available.

In this latest release for Windows 7 and above, directory merging is fixed. This is a feature of the OS that allows you to merge two directory trees.

StableBit DrivePool Features:

  • Combine all your hard drives into one big storage pool (except the system drive with the OS).
  • Add and remove drives from the pool at any time without re-partitioning or manually moving folders.
  • Create duplicated folders on the storage drive pool that are protected against single drive failure. If a drive fails on which a duplicated file was stored, the contents of that file will remain readable even without the drive.
  • All your data is stored in standard NTFS files. You can always access your files even if the Windows Home Server completely crashes or this add-in can’t be used.

How it Works:
