The add-in WHS File Manager is a simple dual-pane file manager for the Windows Home Server management concole which allows you to safely copy, move and delete files on your home server.

It will only show your shared folders and uses UNC for file copying, which means it will be slower than copying to/from local disks using remote desktop, but it’s also a lot safer.

Home entertainment company hFX have just announced the HFX mini storage WHS which is a slim storage box housing 3 HDDs, an Intel Atom Duo 330 (2×1.60GHz) and Gigabit LAN in a thick silent rubber box to keep things silent.

The HFX mini storage WHS is available with 3TB, 4.5TB or 6TB of storage space and a second storage box in the same design can be stacked which adds up to 8 TB in addition.

Cannot Connect to Windows Home Server Solution

If one of your Home Server connected PCs stops connecting to your server then the Steve Smith Blog may have a solution for you.

Steve has a few suggestions including a fix for those of you who may be using Open DNS, a DNS provider that offers some additional services, such as web content filtering and anti-phishing protection.

Mac Backup to Windows Home Server
