Windows Home Server on MSDN and TechNet – Not Yet

As you are surely aware on Monday Windows Home Server finally appeared on MSDN and TechNet, only to disappear a day later.

The official word is that it only appeared for internal testing purposes to make sure that everything worked correctly but the good news is that it will be back very soon.

We can’t wait!

WHS Now Available on TechNet and MSDN

Thanks to a comment left by tmanbt on our previous post "WHS Coming to MSDN", we can now confirm that Windows Home Server is now finally available to MSDN and TechNet subscribers.

Under the category of Operating Systems (and NOT Servers) the Windows Home Server with Power Pack 1 installation disc, connector disc and restore disc are all available for download.

This is great news as it enables WHS to get into more peoples hands – Excellent news!

HP EX48x User's Guide Available for Download

If you own one of the new ex485 or ex 487 MediaSmart Servers then HP has just published a PDF version of the user guide which covers both models.

The 245 page guide covers the basics from getting started and getting to know your server as well as taking you through the various features of the units: The Server for iTunes, the Media Collector, Streaming Media and the Web Media Streamer and the HP Photo Publisher and Viewer.

Online Backup and the Mac Features are also looked at, and the guide is complimented with a Troubleshooting & FAQs section.
