You can now Remote Server configuration from anywhere in the world from your Pocket PC (PPC) or Smartphone.
Say your forgot to port forward something when you’re out of the house. Then fire up your Smartphone or PPC, connect to the server via it, and then add the UPnP port to the list.
Current Features:
- Add/Remove UPnP Port Forwards while out of the house.
- Enable or Disable UPnP Features via WHS Console Settings
Developer Brent says that this is just the tip of the iceberg for WHS Mobile and that he has many things in mind for future releases.
Requirements:
- Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit installed in the default directory.
- .Net Compact Framework 3.5 installed on the Smartphone/Pocket PC
Version 0.0.0.2 include the following changes:
- FTP Mode Added
- List/Start/Stop FTP Sites
- Put the server into Stand By (Sleep Mode)
Installation and usage instructions are available from here, and the download, upgrade and FTP mode instructions are available from here.
